Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server automatically receives basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and time spent on them

- The referring site, when available
- The Internet Protocol address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site identifies official sources for Cabarrus County records, including the Sheriff's Office, the Clerk of Superior Court, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information entered in its tool. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's terms before running a query.

Links may lead to the Cabarrus County Sheriff, North Carolina courts, state agencies, legal resources, or third-party tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.
