The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation maintains fingerprint-based state criminal history, while the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction publishes eligible correctional information. Registry records use the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Cabarrus County Sheriff, the Clerk of Superior Court, or the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. This site can identify the route but cannot issue the document.
